I grew up in a Christian environment with much exposure to Watchman Nee and Witness Lee's ministry. Even though this was the case, I had no appreciation of their teachings at the beginning. I always thought that all Christians had the same teaching, and being one of them, whatever I heard must have been heard by others also. This thought prevailed until my junior high school years when I was studying in a private Christian school. I saw that there were some differences between what they practiced in my school and what I heard and read in the Bible. But this realization did not bother me so much until later.

When I went to college I decided to get more into the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee on my own. I wanted to know whether their teachings were according to the Bible. So I used different versions of the Bible to do some study whenever I read the ministry books of these two brothers. I did not ask anyone to help me understand the Bible because I did not want to have any bias toward any teachings other than the Bible itself. Yet, I read the books written by these two brothers not knowing whether I could trust them fully. My effort availed with quite an appreciation of what they have opened up from the Bible. But, I was not yet fully convinced, mainly because I did not understand the central line of the revelation in the Bible, the focus of the Bible, nor was I familiar enough with what these two brothers actually saw from the Bible.

Then I heard about the Full-Time Training in Anaheim, a two-year training program in the Bible, service, life and the gospel. I decided to attend this program to fill my lack in these areas. It is in this Training that I was helped to know the Bible both generally and intrinsically. It is also in this Training that I began to realize how the writings of these two brothers are not so common in Christianity, yet they are very accurate revelations of Bible truth. My appreciation was also increased by the fellowship I had in the Training with brothers who are different from me in the sense that they did not grow up with the same teachings as I was under. They testified of their appreciation of this ministry because they did not see as much revelation until they heard of this ministry.

So now I realized how the Bible has been properly opened up by the ministry of these two brothers. The Training has been a great help to me in how to study the Bible.
